		<description>Sure. A public school district. Support positions (with no supervisory authority) to teachers and principals were required to serve as 'reporting agents' of teacher infraction. Reporting infractions, of course, instigated adverse relationships. The support positions were presented as helpful agents, yet were required to find  and report infractions.

The pitting results from this continued practice (even when supervisors were replaced over a period of years) and the request to either change the position to supervisory, or eliminate the punitive aspect of reporting requirements being ignored.

Furthermore, any information reported was brought to the attention of the teachers (creating dicension) and was rarely actually used for improvement efforts. My experience was that it 'pitted employees' repeatedly against each other. 

Efforts to rectify the situation were viewed as contentious. The only choice for action were to comply and report or not report and be found incompetent of job responsibilities.

Poor work environments are one thing, requiring employees to aggressively attack one another with no apparent outcome except for employee upheaval is another. Children? teaching? Education?????</description>

		<description>This is very true. The office requires a different kind of language. It is also not appropriate to say, "Chill!" to your boss or senior colleague when they are upset. It is important to unlearn some of the 'cool' vocabulary learned in college.</description>
